My Love For Tech and Startups

Technology plays a big part in todays world. My interest in technology, mathematics and related field have started since young age. As a teen, I used to take part in national mathematics competition. I have grown up being the “go-to” guy to fix all things electronic. I got introduce to computing through system administration and networking practices. I have since progressed into software development and architecture. I’m quite vocal in the London technology and start-up scene. I love hackathons and I try to part whenever I can. As part of writing articles and training teams, I’m in the process of writing my first tech book. Java and the JVM technology form a large part of my core skills which I do apply to different areas such as Mobile and IoT, enterprise application development and big data.

Why hire me?

Vision. Passion. Execution.

My Foundation

An Engineer, Architect

A Tech Champion

I believe today we are seeing the ‘rise’ of the programmer. We are losing the GEEK culture as more developers just learn how to code. The difference with engineers is that we have this curiosity about how things work and how we can improve them. Problem solving is trait that most new developers lack. We outsource our services to teams without any concept of problem solving, they expect to be told what to do throughout the whole process. Coding is the easy part, even a well trained monkey can do it hence the terms “Code Monkeys”.

Java Development

I have more than 12 years of Software development in various programming languages including C++ and Java. My forte is Java and the JVM, from writing backend to frontend applications with web services and latest UI technology.

Technical Architecture

I have been wearing multiple hats as a technical architect, solutions architect, enterprise architect and application architect. I have a solid understanding of system design and documentation, and how to bring forward solutions which are aligned with corporate goals and vision. I design web and cloud applications, mobile and server side solutions. I work with various integration technologies to create a truly distributed system which can scale on demand.

Liferay Expert

For the past 7 years, I have embraced the Open Source Liferay Enterprise Portal as my de facto portal framework for building enterprise portals, integration system, enterprise content management and web content management. I am experienced in Liferay SDLC; architecting portals solutions, creating custom portlets, extending liferay services, performance and security testing.
